Careerline Tech Center students recognized with over $385,000 in scholarships

HOLLAND — Regional learners at the Careerline Tech Center have been awarded extra than $385,000 in put up-secondary scholarships.
The CTC, operated by the Ottawa Space ISD, just lately held a scholarship awards ceremony to understand 42 college students for their scholarship earnings. In addition, 18 learners are becoming sponsored by local firms to continue on their education and learning with an apprenticeship.
“The opportunities at Tech Center are boundless,” CTC Director Dave Searles stated. “From scholarship monies to assist with instruction soon after superior university to apprenticeship options that mix schooling with on-the-job training, our college students are specified several prospects to aid them identify their next measures.
“With so lots of avenues for a student to get, we are psyched to assistance families navigate this territory with their scholar and support set them up for success.”
Involved in the scholarships was a $70,000 award to Holland Public Colleges university student Flor Quiñones Sanchez. Quiñones Sanchez acquired the Kendall Portfolio Scholarship and will go to Kendall College or university for Artwork and Layout. She studied printing and imaging tech at CTC.
Randal Fletcher, a university student at West Ottawa, been given far more than $50,000 in scholarships. Fletcher gained the AIS Action Scholarship for $48,000 and the Haworth Experienced Trades Scholarship for $2,000. He took component in the diesel/hefty products mechanics method at CTC.
Caleb Prince, a community homeschooled student in the diesel/heavy machines mechanics program, earned a $40,000 Michigan CAT Scholarship.

Scholarship resources contain endowed scholarship resources and partnerships with neighborhood corporations and colleges. Scholarships awarded assortment from $300 to $70,000.
Apprenticeships offer college students with on-the-position schooling with trade professionals. Holland Christian’s Jacob Haan, who examined car overall body fix at CTC, stated an apprenticeship at Van Eck Auto System aided him see a potential career path.
